In a recent press release from Nissan USA, the automaker announced that four of its models earned distinguished recognition from the Automotive Science Group (ASG).

The 2019 Nissan Kicks, a compact crossover, won the award for “Best Economic Performance” in its segment. ASG noted that Kicks boasts the lowest cost of ownership over the first 6.5 years of its lifecycle. According to the study, when considering purchase and operating costs, and compared against 101 model variants, the Kicks is 36-percent less expensive to own than the average compact crossover. The 2019 Nissan Rogue earned the same award in the mid-size SUV segment against 184 model variants

The all-electric 2019 Nissan LEAF earned “Best 5 All-Around Performance” recognition in the mid-large size car segment. Compared against 434 model variants, the LEAF was among the vehicles with the highest combined social, environmental, and economic performance ratings. The 2019 Nissan Versa earned the same recognition in the small car segment among 335 model variants.

Rogue and Kicks also earned Best 5 recognition in the SUV and crossover segments, respectively.
